These are viktor¥.
The idea behind these candle holders is to explore the mobility and their changing and evolving nature.
The body follows the cylindric shape of the candle understanding them as a continuous element. The hardness of the raw steel from the body contrasts with the softness of the candle’s wax.
Because of their height they are independent freestanding objects that can be placed wherever in the space. The warm and shivering light from the candles reacts with the movements of what surrounds them.
As the surroundings change also does the object itself. Permanent and ephemeral mix together as the wax runs down the tube; but as the candles will be consumed and the wax will melt, also the steel body will rust over time.
