This is pantalla.
It is part of the podium series; a set of lamps made between 2020-2021. The idea behind podium is to explore the beauty of rough, ready-made industrial materials. The approach is always the same: take a naked element and exploit its potential; everything is dry-assembled with the minimum material transformations possible.
Here in pantalla a metallic mesh is curved in order to generate a volume out of it. By doing so we transform this planar thin element into a three-dimensional structure where the bulb seems to be floating inside.
